“You Fly On”
Given the birds eye view
What would you do?
Would you warn them?
Mind your own business
Let nature take its course
Intercede
Reduction harm
Hope new traps aren’t set
New challenges unmet
Given the birds eye view
Would you not look down
Focus on your own path
Look straight ahead or up
Soaring on the wind
Riding the gusts
In formation with your winged brethren
Would you just look for a warmer place
A new place to procreate
Commiserate
Enunciate the weight
Of all the problems you see
The others destinies
Watching them squirm
Fighting for their next worm
Given the birds eye view
Do you swoop in?
Pluck your prey from the land
Start a fight with gravity filling fear in your captive as talons tighten
Snack mid air
Drop it by accident
Limp food dumped on an unsuspecting surface
Carcass to be found later
You fly on
Given the birds eye view
You fly on
